Day 96 – Papeete to Pago Pago –
Sunday 19/8/12
Weather – Fine, and Sunny. 25C –
28C
Sunrise – 6.03am
Sunset – 5.56pm
Time difference - minus 21 hours ex
Sydney, (back an hour last night)
During the course of the day Sun
Princess continued on a west-north-westerly. At noon we were 247
miles east-south-east of Rose Island and 392 miles east-south of
Tutuila Island which is the largest, and the main island, of American
Samoa, in the archipelago of Samoan Islands.
The sea day count continues to clock
up. A enjoyable 90 minute social breakfast upstairs was a nice start
to the day. You may wonder what we talk about in all these social
interactions that we have...well everything and anything, except
religion and politics. This mornings discussion was about caravans vs
RVs vs campers vs camper trailers.
Another tense struggle on the
shuffle-board today, we only had time for one game, and it was a tie,
so the arm wrestle between sexes continues :) Donna went off to a
Hawaiian Dance class this arvo, so there is another dance skill she
has !!!
We had a CC drinks today, attended by
about 30 or so. It was nice to catch up again, though the numbers are
falling as the cruise goes on, which is understandable.
After dinner entertainment tonight was
a Multi instrumentalist, Danny Elliott, who was very good. It has
been such a long time since we had a performer with any talent worth
mentioning, so it was a pleasant change.
