Photo test

Fergie....where are you...oh there you are

Testing again sorry

Sorry, but I am playing in the sand pit here, trying to learn what I can do via iPad, iPhone, net book... Offline as well as online

This time testing via Blogger App on iPad ... Prepped whilst offline.. Saved..then connected to wifi
Testing time again - sorry I have downloaded Pages, a word app for the iPad, so we can prepare blog updates whilst offline on the iPad ( which will the time consuming bit), and when update is complete, connect to the ship's wifi and upload to the blog. As Internet time on board is costly, the object is to minimise online time, although we do have a free allowance to get us started. So this little test is ready to go with text only..photos from offline is another challenge

Yesterday (15th April 2012) we were fortunate enough to meet some fellow cruisers whom we will be traveling with on the World Cruise. The group are all members of an online forum called Cruise Critic. Those members who live in Queensland, and who were able to be in Brisbane and meet up for lunch. It was great to meet up with folks who will be our traveling companions for up to 14 weeks.

We had lunch at the Mado Restaurant, in Southbank, a Turkish cafe that gave us a hint of what the taste buds can expect in Istanbul !!!. Photo is courtesy of Ross Anderson , who did a great job of researching a location, and organising the meet up.

The first suitcase is out an open, with a few items off the packing list in there already. Due to weight restrictions on the flight to Sydney, we have reduced the packing list , by creating a shopping list for our stop in Darwin eg, 14 weeks of toiletries, sly grog etc etc.

Countdown is now down to 30 days..anticipation builds
