Yesterday (15th April 2012) we were fortunate enough to meet some fellow cruisers whom we will be traveling with on the World Cruise. The group are all members of an online forum called Cruise Critic. Those members who live in Queensland, and who were able to be in Brisbane and meet up for lunch. It was great to meet up with folks who will be our traveling companions for up to 14 weeks.
We had lunch at the Mado Restaurant, in Southbank, a Turkish cafe that gave us a hint of what the taste buds can expect in Istanbul !!!. Photo is courtesy of Ross Anderson , who did a great job of researching a location, and organising the meet up.
The first suitcase is out an open, with a few items off the packing list in there already. Due to weight restrictions on the flight to Sydney, we have reduced the packing list , by creating a shopping list for our stop in Darwin eg, 14 weeks of toiletries, sly grog etc etc.
Countdown is now down to 30 days..anticipation builds
